World's Biggest Problems

  • Global Warming
    • Climate change is a huge issue today, and even thought many politicians still wont admit to it due to their own private agendas. We face many problems with global warming, like the rising water levels, many animals becoming endangered and many others going extinct. A solution for this would be to stop the use of gasoline, burning of natural gasses, burning of coal and even eating beef, because cows are one of the greatest pollutants are the cows we eat.
  • Clean Drinking Water
    • Clean drinking water has become so scarce because we either pollute the water we drink or dry out the springs and lakes that were given to us by nature. It's like biting the hand that feeds you. There are cities around the US without clean drinking water, countries around the world who don't have a consistent water supply let alone a clean water supply. A solution would be to stop allowing companies to dump into oceans, lakes and rivers, to stop companies from cutting down entire forests and ruining ecosystems.
  • World Hunger
    • Much like water food is a scarce resource in some parts of the world. While many people indulge in all the food they can fit into their mouth others are very malnourished and starving. Our food resources are very poorly distributed and if we were to distribute them better we could easily solve this issue.
  • Overpopulation
    • Some parts of out planet are so over populated that the region can't sustain everyone, there isn't enough drinking water, enough food and soon enough there wont be enough oxygen for everyone. We currently don't have a solution for this.
  • Child Labour
    • Child labour has become a huge issue because children are easy to come by, can do the work faster and have smaller hands for tedious jobs. Many employers take advantage of the low wage they can pay them and use this as much as possible. Only way to stop this would be to boycott products whose firms use children for the creation of their products.
  • Donald Trump
    • It's not Donald Trump, but I didn't have another way to describe it, but its the animosity he is creating not even in the US anymore, but around the world. He has shown people that it's okay to hate a whole religion for the actions of a few and people who were on the fence about what to think are now accepting that it's okay to do so. What he's doing in reality is only making the situation worse.
  •  Waste Disposal
    • With over populations come unimaginable amounts of waste which we still don't know what to do with. Some things can be recycled, reused, renewed but most people don't take the time do so. So in different parts of the world there are literally islands of trash floating around stuck between currents. There is one in the Pacific Ocean, the size of New York city. Solution to this would be to increase incentives for recycling, we can't expect people to do things just because it's right, they have to get something out of it otherwise people wont take the time to do so.
  • Cancer
    • Cancer is one of the few diseases in the world to which we have not found a definite cure yet. Hundreds of thousands have died from it and many more suffer through it. Everyone is effected, we all know someone who, knows someone affected by this horrible disease. Only way to stop is to increase the research going into it, trying out every possible solution.
  • Illiteracy
    • "The cure to cancer could be stuck inside the mind of someone who can't read." We have so many different problems in our world today but if we can not use our full potential then we will only get part of the solution, and this is why we need to improve the educational system and make sure that every child gets an education.
  • Extinction of Species
    • It's sad to be able to say that a majestic animal has gone from safe, to endangered, to extinct in the matter of a few years. So many habitats are being destroyed as we make room for factories, farms, and expansions of cities. A solution for this would be to crack down on companies which are destroying habitats and hunters who are hunting animals for sport.

    1. Totally agree with you on every point! Especially Donald Trump and the effect he's had on the U.S., and the world. He's a disgusting man, and only ignorant, vile people would rally around that man and/or what he stands for. As for overpopulation, I hate to say it, but one of the hidden/ dark benefits of natural disasters is to help keep our population in line. Imagine if no one died from anything but a long life. We would've hit Earth's max capacity A LONG time ago!!

    3. Hey Adna!

I really had a good time reading this one! World hunger also happens to be on my list! I think this is something that needs to be tackled right away! the sooner the better! Its unfortunate that its such a hard thing to bring to fruition though. Overpopulation is a very interesting one i didnt think of. We really need to start considering better ways to get around in commutes and stop pollution. I had a great time with this read and I hope you also enjoy my post!
